Due to COVID-19’s impact on travel and lodging businesses, in particular here in Hawaii, Honu Kai has had to change how we conduct business. To ensure your safety when staying with us, we have implemented strict protocols and updated continuously to current COVID-19 State and Federal guidelines. We place the safety of our guests at the highest level. We will maintain our usual warm and friendly zen-zone approach, and interact with guests in a manner with which they are comfortable.
Wearing a mask is not required in our huge outdoor space and social distancing is very easily accommodated. Our beaches are open and Volcano National Park is open. There are MANY options for self-guided touring itineraries, which we will help plan for you, and give you any necessary equipment and directions with our usual ‘cheat sheets’ of how to make the most of your day. And don't forget about our Sunset & Stars romantic dinner for two on the beach!
Our restaurants are operating with social distancing guidelines. Wearing a mask is only required for entry or movement inside the restaurant, no mask needed when seated. Hawaii requires a mask to be worn when in public places.
We hope to welcome you to the magic of our Big Island ... It’s a world away from yesterday, where the Aloha spirit is still very much alive at Honu Kai!
